Grangeville is the gateway to five wilderness areas and four national forests totally 5-1/2 million acres. The upper Clearwater River area is designated as one of the "Wild and Scenic" river systems. Our area is rich in the history of Lewis and Clark, the Lolo Trail, NezPerce Indians, gold mining and the "wild" west.
